VIDEO GUIDE

Shooting Your SPARC Application Video

Two minutes. One take. No fancy production needed.

Tell us four things:

  • Who you are.
  • What you built.
  • Who it’s for.
  • What a $1,000,000 investment would change about your next 12 months.

How to Shoot It

  • Use your phone vertically.
No landscape video or laptop webcam.
  • Set your phone at eye level.
Position it about an arm and a half away. Your face and shoulders should fill most of the frame.
  • Face a window or natural light.
Keep the light in front of you, not behind you.
  • Find a quiet space.
Close the door. No music or background noise. Clear audio matters more than a perfect background.
  • Look directly at the lens.
Talk to the person watching, not to yourself on the screen.

How to Make It Good

  • Start with your strongest point.
Skip the long introduction. Give us a reason to keep listening from the first sentence.
  • Explain what you do in plain English.
Say what your company does in one clear sentence. If someone outside your industry wouldn’t understand it, simplify it.
  • Don’t read a script.
Know what you want to say, then speak naturally.
  • Record it a few times.
The first take may be stiff. Keep going until it sounds like you.
  • Don’t edit it.
No music. No captions. No titles. No filters. No cuts. Send us the raw video—we’ll handle the rest.

Show Us What You Built

If you have an extra minute, send us 20 seconds of your product, company, or experience actually working.

Show us the product. The screen. The kitchen. The shop. The prototype. The process. No narration or polished production required. Real is better than perfect.

If You’re Selected

Keep your camera nearby. Between selection and SPARC Ignite, we’ll be sharing the founders and companies taking the stage.

Send us the real moments: your product working, practicing your pitch, fixing something that broke, building late at night, or working from wherever you actually work.

You don’t have to make it good. That’s our job 😄
